About The Position

The Paint Technician position is responsible for various paint preparation processes. Primarily responsible for the masking/taping of product prior to the finishing process. This position is geared towards developing skill sets to become a manufacturing painter.

• Ability to show enthusiasm and desire to attain manufacturing painter skills

Responsibilities

• Apply tape and protective paper to product parts that should be exempt of paint.
• De-masking painted parts by removing tape.
• Place plugs in holes of metal parts to prevent paint from entering.
• Sanding metal parts of imperfections.
• Learning Powder and/or liquid Painting techniques under supervision.
• Perform quality inspections of product being prepared.
• Keep inventory of the various masking products (tape, protective paper, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
