About The Position

Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the person in this position would be responsible for the painting/staining of exterior doors in our state-of-the-art finishing system. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy, and timeliness of painting of all doors and component parts. Working with all teams of finish department to ensure the highest quality finished product. Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of assigned work area. Performing other tasks as assigned by the Finish Supervisor. At Lumbermen’s, our business is built on relationships. This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED required
Prior painting/staining experience (preferably in doors or comparable field)
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently
Safe working practices
Natural detail-orientation
Ability to accurately read orders and stage material to internal customer needs
Desire to “do things right the first time”
