About The Position

Cygnus, Inc. is seeking a Paint Set-up and Racking associate to join their team. This role involves preparing parts for painting, working closely with painters, and maintaining a clean work area. The position is on the first shift and operates on a 9/80 schedule. Requirements

• Good Manual dexterity
• Manufacturing or painting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rack or hang parts prior to priming or painting.
• Work with painters to determine best orientation for racking or hanging of parts to ensure efficient painting.
• Remove primed or painted parts from racking.
• Rotate or Re-rack parts in between coats of prime or paint.
• Touch-up primed or painted parts.
• Back-up for masking or de-masking as required.
• Learn production flow through Paint Department.
• Read and follow detailed work instructions, operating procedures, drawings and blueprints.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Ability to work both independently or under direction as the job requires.
