About The Position
Volt is immediately hiring for a Paint Robotics Technician in Georgetown, KY. This is a Full Time opportunity with a global organization that is a market leader and fast growing.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience programming Kawasaki, Fanuc, or Yaskawa robots.
- Prior experience in automated robotic paint shop environments.
- Experience with PLCs (Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Omron, etc.).
- Experience with CATIA, DELMIA, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 2+ years technical degree / equivalent work experience.
- Willingness and capability to travel 50% internationally and domestically.
Responsibilities
- Program industrial robots (online and offline using simulation software) for automated paint applications (Sealer, Primer, Base, Clearcoat).
- Run trial runs, adjust parameters, conduct reach/cycle time studies, and inspect paint quality (using instruments like elco-meters and wave-scans).
- Create process hand over documents and snapshots for North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMCs).
