SITE MANUFACTURING PAINT PROCESS TECHNICIAN

This role involves deploying paint standards, controlling paint operations and equipment, ensuring quality and conformity of the application process, and performing basic maintenance on paint equipment. The technician will contribute to root cause analysis for defects, participate in continuous improvement workshops, and optimize paint consumption. The position requires an Engineering degree (industrial preferred) and the ability to maintain the paint production process according to POMS standards, ensuring basic maintenance and correcting deviations to improve equipment OEE. Flexibility to work any shift and participate in on-call duty is also required.
Requirements
- Engineering degree required (industrial preferred)
- Technician certification with a speciality in several of the following fields (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics)
- Robotics and application processes
- Good capacity in spoken and written English
- Communication capability skills towards all management levels
- Safety minded
- 2-3 years in painted parts production

- Team player, flexible, rigorous regarding respect of standard and rules

Responsibilities
- Dedication to safety
- Deploys paint standards during the production shift
- Starts and stops the paint line according to production plan and safety rules
- Controls paint operations and equipment (including robots)
- Checks quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures (PPCM)
- Applies maintenance level 1 procedures for robots and all paint equipment (guns, jigs,....)
- Maintains paint applicators
- Minimizes stops of the paint line
- In case of defects, contributes to root cause analysis, action plan set up and deploy within his shift the corrective actions
- Contributes in continuous improvement workshops: proposes measures to improve product and process quality
- Follows up and optimizes continuously paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, and solvents, rinsing solvents...)
- May relieve fellow team members for their breaks
