Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in paint, coatings, chemistry, or process engineering within the automotive industry
  • Prior involvement in project organization or cross‑functional project leadership
  • Strong knowledge of liquid paint application processes for Class A automotive surfaces
  • Ability to measure and evaluate color, surface structure, and paint defects
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take full responsibility for paint development results
  • Strong communication, analytical, and collaborative capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and OEM customers
  • English required

Responsibilities

  • Lead paint development activities to achieve required quality levels and OEM specifications at committed cost
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams including plant production, paint setting, laboratory, suppliers, and customers
  • Ensure paint process stability for both product and process, including quality, repeatability, and consistency
  • Manage paint technical relationships with raw material suppliers and validate new paint products
  • Define paint zoning commitments and ensure proper application of Design-to-Paint methodology
  • Drive jigs development from CAD design through on-site validation, including prototype phases
  • Lead paint trials, evaluate painted parts, and define necessary adjustments for robust process performance
  • Validate paint ranges, application parameters, and customer specifications (mechanical and appearance)
  • Participate in run@rate events and support PPAP activities, including customer buy-offs
  • Identify paint-related continuous improvement opportunities and support productivity initiatives
