Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with relevant experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in paint, coatings, chemistry, or process engineering within the automotive industry
Prior involvement in project organization or cross‑functional project leadership
Strong knowledge of liquid paint application processes for Class A automotive surfaces
Ability to measure and evaluate color, surface structure, and paint defects
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take full responsibility for paint development results
Strong communication, analytical, and collaborative capabilities
Ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and OEM customers
English required

Responsibilities

Lead paint development activities to achieve required quality levels and OEM specifications at committed cost
Coordinate cross‑functional teams including plant production, paint setting, laboratory, suppliers, and customers
Ensure paint process stability for both product and process, including quality, repeatability, and consistency
Manage paint technical relationships with raw material suppliers and validate new paint products
Define paint zoning commitments and ensure proper application of Design-to-Paint methodology
Drive jigs development from CAD design through on-site validation, including prototype phases
Lead paint trials, evaluate painted parts, and define necessary adjustments for robust process performance
Validate paint ranges, application parameters, and customer specifications (mechanical and appearance)
Participate in run@rate events and support PPAP activities, including customer buy-offs
Identify paint-related continuous improvement opportunities and support productivity initiatives
