About The Position

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a qualified Auto Body Refinish Prepper to join their team. This role is crucial in preparing vehicles to ensure a quality refinish repair, restoring them to pre-accident condition. The Auto Body Refinish Prepper will thoroughly sand, mask, prime, and prepare each vehicle for refinishing according to insurance guidelines and collision repair facility standards. Requirements

Ability to prepare vehicles for refinishing.
Ability to sand, mask, and prime vehicles.
Ability to apply primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats.
Ability to complete restoration of anti-corrosion treatments.
Ability to identify substrates.
Ability to mix and apply products.
Ability to evaluate bodywork for quality paint jobs.
Experience in collision repair facility standards.

Responsibilities

Surface preparation, vehicle masking, priming, and top coating.
Apply all primers, sealers, basecoats, color coats, and clear coats.
Complete restoration of anti-corrosion treatments, substrate identification, product mixing, and application.
Evaluate bodywork to ensure a quality paint job will result.
Thoroughly sand, mask, prime, and prepare each vehicle for refinishing as per insurance guidelines and standards.
