About The Position

Czarnowski is seeking a Paint Prepper to support their fabrication team in Austell, GA. This hands-on role is essential to delivering high-quality surfaces that meet creative standards. The company is fast-paced, detail-driven, and always building something new.

Requirements

• Experience in sanding, masking, or finish prep (scenic, exhibit, or automotive a plus)
• Comfortable using hand tools and power sanders
• Detail-oriented with strong work ethic
• Able to take direction and work well in a fast-paced team environment
• Physically able to lift materials and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Prepare exhibit components for paint and finish work.
• Degrease, remove dirt, old paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application.
• Sand, clean, and media blast surfaces as needed.
• Mask surfaces or parts with tape or paper to protect them from being coated.
• Fill seams and dents with putty and fiberglass to attain a smooth surface.
• Mix primer and apply it to the repaired surface.
• Operate a spray gun to direct spray onto work surface to apply primer.
• Clean spraying equipment and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Produce a high level of output and monitor own work to ensure quality.
• Possess good time management skills to complete the job at hand on time.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures, as well as company policies.
• Be a team player, able to work with others and take direction.
