About The Position
Reading Truck is hiring Paint Preppers/ Caulkers for 1st shift in our Paint department in Claremore. This role involves preparing truck equipment for paint processing, assisting painters, performing basic repairs, and ensuring quality assurance. The company has over 65 years of industry leadership in manufacturing, distributing, and enhancing work truck bodies, and is the world's largest upfitter of work trucks with a growing network across North America.
Requirements
- Some fabrication knowledge/understanding a plus
Responsibilities
- Prep all orders in the truck department for paint.
- Assist painters in painting, masking, taping, or any other task to be performed in the paint department.
- Help prep and perform basic repairs when needed.
- Perform quality assurance before and after painting.
- Other duties assigned by management (may be assigned at any time).
- Know and follow all health and safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
- May be required to handle, move, or perform administrative tasks involving Hazardous materials.
