Holman’s upfitting division has a great opportunity for a Servicer/Paint Prepper to join our team in Bartlett, IL.

Requirements

  • Possess the ability to use electrical/power tools correctly.
  • Must be able to perform within the established company standards, which include but are not limited to standard operating procedures, quality and performance.
  • Must possess the ability to gain the knowledge and understanding of work orders.
  • High School Diploma or the GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous auto body experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports paint operations by preparing vehicle surfaces and performing minor installation tasks to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Cleaning, sanding, masking, applying primers/coatings, staging materials, and installing basic components (e.g., nuts, bolts, latches, locks, and doors).
  • Maintains a clean, safe environment to meet production and quality standards.
  • Properly clean and prepare surfaces to be painted including masking, sanding, buffing, and prepping.
  • Ability to determine damaged areas on bodies to be repaired.
  • Must be able to isolate painted / unpainted areas – i.e. masking, taping doors, etc.
  • Check paint workmanship while striping and decaling and inform of errors.
  • Possess knowledge of assembly process to limit scrap materials.
  • Possess an understanding and exercise extreme care during the operation and movement of large parts while using the company lifting systems.
  • Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process.
  • Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety for our customers.
  • Ability to operate required tools within standard operations procedures.
  • Must comply with the company’s safety policies and clean initiative standards.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
