About The Position
The Paint Prep Cleaner position is responsible for cleaning and preparing parts for the paint/powder coating process on the paint line.
Requirements
- Reading, writing and basic mathematics.
- Safety conscious.
- Initiative.
- Teamwork orientation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of manufacturing experience.
- Crane and forklift experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing parts for painting including plugging and masking parts to be painted.
- Grind parts to remove sharp edges.
- Use overhead crane to move parts to wash area.
- Remove slag from workpieces in raw stock stage before painting.
- Forklift operation or willing and able to be trained to safely operate a forklift.
- Must identify, store, stack, organize and stage product.
- Sweeping, cleaning, removal of trash, and scrap.
- Preventative maintenance as required.
