About The Position

Responsible for operating and overseeing the automated paint line for structural steel beams. Ensures proper coating application, equipment functionality, and quality control throughout the painting process. This role involves the operation of machines, ovens, and baths, as well as setting paint guns at high voltage levels and managing airflow rates. The operator will also be responsible for understanding painting programs, adapting parameters, and having a full understanding of ATEX risks, explosive mass, and automatic fire systems (STS). Additionally, the role includes running the PH degreasing bath equipment and performing various production tasks such as degreasing, rinsing, drying, and operating baking ovens and paint booths.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Previous experience with stamping and roll forming presses and manufacturing.
Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of measuring tools.
Detail-oriented.
Good problem-solving skills.
Teamwork skills.
Physical stamina (lifting, standing).

Responsibilities

Operate and oversee the automated paint line for structural steel beams.
Ensure proper coating application, equipment functionality, and quality control.
Operate machines, ovens, and baths.
Set paint guns at high voltage levels and manage airflow rates.
Manage painting programs and adapt parameters.
Understand ATEX risks, explosive mass, and automatic fire systems (STS).
Run the PH degreasing bath equipment.
Perform production tasks including degreasing, rinsing, drying, and operating baking ovens and paint booths.
Conduct bath controls (pH, titration products).
Perform paint checks (Elcometer).
Utilize PPE including glasses, overalls, masks, earplugs, caps, gloves, and plastic sleeves.
Use PM Blow guns and ATEX vacuum cleaner for cleaning floors and powder bins.
Operate cleaning machines to clean the floor.
Maintain suction cabin for cleaning powder tanks.
Collect powder using plastic bags and shovels or dust collectors.
Use spare parts for preventive maintenance.
