About The Position
This position involves working on a paint line, responsible for loading and unloading parts, monitoring for quality issues, and packaging finished products. The role requires attention to detail to ensure parts are handled carefully and meet quality standards. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining a clean work area and recording production data.
Requirements
- Ability to watch for issues with steel/parts such as missing weld, component, pierce hole, excess oil, rust, scale, etc.
- Ability to hang and remove part racks from line conveyor.
- Ability to keep parts picked up off floor and work area clean.
- Ability to pre-load parts or wipe off burn off parts when not needed on the line.
- Ability to watch for bad paint on parts and sort out into suspect area.
- Ability to pack parts in proper containers and quantities, using correct partitions / dunnage to prevent scratches on parts.
- Ability to handle all painted parts with care when packaging.
- Ability to operate counting scales to get correct pack quantities.
- Ability to record all production and suspect parts in Plex.
- Ability to complete first and last piece inspection on all automotive jobs.
- Part-time qualifications.
