Paint Line Technician
About The Position
The Paint Line Technician position is responsible for various paint preparation processes. The primary responsibility is the loading and unloading of material from the automated paint line. This role involves preparing product parts for painting, including masking, de-masking, and sanding, as well as performing quality inspections and maintaining inventory of masking supplies. The technician will also have the opportunity to learn powder and/or liquid painting techniques under supervision. This position operates within a manufacturing setting and requires continuous physical activity.

Responsibilities
- Loading material onto the rail for automated paint line
- Unloading material from the rail of the automated paint line
- Apply tape and protective paper to product parts that should be exempt of paint.
- De-masking painted parts by removing tape
- Place plugs in holes of metal parts to prevent paint from entering
- Sanding metal parts of imperfections
- Learning Powder and/or liquid Painting techniques under supervision
- Perform quality inspections of product being prepared
- Keep inventory of the various masking products (tape, protective paper, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
