About The Position

This role involves working on a paint line, responsible for loading and unloading parts, monitoring for quality issues, and packaging finished products. The team member will also assist with various tasks on the line to ensure smooth operation and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

Ability to load and unload parts.
Attention to detail to identify quality issues with steel/parts.
Ability to hang and remove part racks.
Capability to keep work area clean and organized.
Willingness to assist other areas of the line.
Skill in packing parts carefully to prevent scratches.
Proficiency in operating counting scales.
Experience with recording production data.
Ability to perform first and last piece inspections.

Responsibilities

Load and unload parts on the paint line.
Monitor steel/parts for issues such as missing welds, components, pierce holes, excess oil, rust, or scale.
Hang and remove part racks from the line conveyor.
Keep parts picked up off the floor and maintain a clean work area.
Assist anywhere on the line as needed.
Pre-load parts or wipe off burn-off parts when not needed on the line.
Identify and sort out parts with bad paint into a suspect area.
Pack parts in proper containers and quantities, using correct partitions/dunnage to prevent scratches.
Handle all painted parts with care during packaging.
Operate counting scales to achieve correct pack quantities.
Record all production and suspect parts in Plex.
Complete first and last piece inspection on all automotive jobs.
