About The Position

Vorteq Coil Finishers is looking for quality candidates to work on our Coil Coating line on 2nd & 3rd shift. This is a 24/7 Operation with premium rates for Saturdays and Sundays, and shift differentials when applicable. The role involves maintaining inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, and recording their locations. It also includes locating and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders safely. Requirements

Proficient in reading and writing.
Mathematical skills and ability to understand basic measurements.
Comfort level with a calculator and computer for occasional data entry and/or data lookup.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend and lift heavy materials.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Driving a forklift or assisting a forklift driver.

Responsibilities

Prepare raw materials for production runs.
Verify customer order requirements against material and production schedule.
Work as a team to complete production set ups for efficient job changeovers.
Connect raw material (metal) through a stitching process.
Visually inspect raw and finished coils to identify defects (marks, dents, scratches, etc.).
Package coils according to customer requirements (paper, cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.).
Ensure materials are properly and safely stacked while transporting and when placed in the warehouse.
Keep a work area clean and safe by removing production and packaging scrap and disposing of waste timely in proper receptacles.
Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
