Some mandatory overtime. This position is for our 1st shift (7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to be trained to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, motorized pallet jacks, or manual pallet jacks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, and distribute materials and products within the plant floor to support the flow of material to and from the paint line.
  • Load and unload materials from the paint line conveyor system.
  • Observe and follow all safety rules.
  • Convey materials using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts (if licensed) from the paint area to designated areas.
  • Manually load and unload materials from the paint line conveyor system, never lifting more than 50 pounds without a team lift or the use of lifting devices.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code after the painting process.
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Visually inspect finished painted materials to support quality.
  • Work as a team in the coordination of loading and unloading materials.
  • Safe operation of forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, cranes, or other moving equipment.
  • Work toward training in the various paint line stations to progress into the next progression role.
  • Maintain work area to sustain a clean and orderly environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
