Paint Line Operator, Day Shift
About The Position
This position will be responsible for the application of paint products in accordance with customer specifications and requirements. The role involves following standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements. The operator will use paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools, and will be responsible for maintaining and cleaning spray guns and related equipment. Reporting inconsistencies and defects, maintaining a positive work atmosphere, and helping the company meet its strategic, quality, and safety objectives are also key aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of prior work experience in related field
- Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet, etc.)
- Written and verbal communication, math, reading, and spelling skills -OR- An acceptable combination of education and experience
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with HVLP and/or electrostatic guns, pressure pots, and proportioners is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Application of paint products in accordance with customer and QMS specifications/requirements.
- Follow and understand standard work, training guides, procedures, and acceptance criteria to meet customer requirements.
- Able to use paint spray equipment, sanding equipment, and various hand tools.
- Maintain and clean spray guns and related equipment.
- Follow and understand build boards and Kanban system requirements.
- Report inconsistencies and/or defects in material, product, or equipment.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management.
- Helps company meet its Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
- Other duties may be assigned.
