Requirements

  • Must be a graduate from a Mechanical or Chemical Technology program or have equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in a Manufacturing Facilities role required
  • Experience with industrial waste water treatment systems, including wet chemistry required
  • Knowledge of DataPaq equipment and software, oven balancing an asset
  • Working knowledge of Guelph City water guidelines an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent ability to prioritize many different tasks
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Physically capable to work in a manufacturing environment, at times lifting heavy objects
  • Must be able to be fitted and wear a respirator according to established guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of DataPaq equipment and software, oven balancing an asset
  • Working knowledge of Guelph City water guidelines an asset

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the wash lines, water treatment, sludge system, ovens and paint booth air balance are performing efficiently
  • Make adjustments to equipment in order to maintain product conformance based on process
  • Responsible for maintaining paint line washer equipment through preventative maintenance and weekly auditing
  • Maintain all documentation required for the position
  • Filter management –Washer/ Air hoses
  • Ensure best practices are compliant with the requirements of customer specifications
  • Ability to coordinate external contractor activities related to facilities equipment
  • Audit results to meet designated specifications and industry guidelines for completion and effectiveness
  • Ability to analyze defects through microscopy/cuts
  • Support paint process trouble shooting as required
  • Provide back-up support for the Control Room as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned
