Requirements

Must be a graduate from a Mechanical or Chemical Technology program or have equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in a Manufacturing Facilities role required
Experience with industrial waste water treatment systems, including wet chemistry required
Knowledge of DataPaq equipment and software, oven balancing an asset
Working knowledge of Guelph City water guidelines an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent ability to prioritize many different tasks
Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
Computer literate (MS Office)
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Physically capable to work in a manufacturing environment, at times lifting heavy objects
Must be able to be fitted and wear a respirator according to established guidelines

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of DataPaq equipment and software, oven balancing an asset
Working knowledge of Guelph City water guidelines an asset

Responsibilities

Ensure the wash lines, water treatment, sludge system, ovens and paint booth air balance are performing efficiently
Make adjustments to equipment in order to maintain product conformance based on process
Responsible for maintaining paint line washer equipment through preventative maintenance and weekly auditing
Maintain all documentation required for the position
Filter management –Washer/ Air hoses
Ensure best practices are compliant with the requirements of customer specifications
Ability to coordinate external contractor activities related to facilities equipment
Audit results to meet designated specifications and industry guidelines for completion and effectiveness
Ability to analyze defects through microscopy/cuts
Support paint process trouble shooting as required
Provide back-up support for the Control Room as required
Performs other duties as assigned
