About The Position

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Paint Clerk to join our team! The role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, learning about products, and being part of a supportive retail team. As a Paint Clerk, you will work closely with the Department Head – Paint, to deliver outstanding customer service while supporting the daily operations of the Paint Department.

Requirements

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in paint design and colour choices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to mix paint accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic math skills and comfort using computer systems.
• Ability to lift and move paint containers and related materials.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the department.

Responsibilities

• Work in an environment whereby the employee is involved in and committed to the success of the organization, and which contributes to health, safety, and environmental in an accident-free workplace.
• Greet and assist customers with paint and related product inquiries.
• Mix and tint paint accurately according to customer specifications.
• Provide product recommendations and basic project advice.
• Process sales and special orders.
• Restock shelves and maintain clean, organized displays.
• Assist with receiving and putting away inventory.
• Support contractors and DIY customers with product selection.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Provide counter relief and assist team members in all departments as needed.
• Processing online Rona orders.
