About The Position
The Pain Management Technician provides support for physicians and RN's throughout pain procedures by preparing, providing and caring for instruments and equipment, and maintaining a sterile field. Other duties may include floating to PACU Nerve Block area to assist RN with sterile tray set up for nerve block procedures or assisting in a Patient Care Technician role in Pre/Post Department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a surgical or procedural area.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and instrumentation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Pain Management Technician or similar role.
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or similar.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Responsibilities
