About The Position

OrthoVirginia, Virginia's largest provider of musculoskeletal care, is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Physiatrists to join their practice in the Richmond and Blacksburg, VA areas. OrthoVirginia offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a full range of orthopedic and therapy services. This position offers a direct pathway to becoming a shareholding physician and potential participation in ancillary revenues. It is a private practice/partnership track opportunity, requiring participation in general orthopedic call.

Requirements

• Strong background in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
• Trained to care for general orthopedic conditions
• Board Certification/Eligibility
• MD or DO degree
• Active/eligibility for Virginia state licensure

Responsibilities

• Participate in general orthopedic call.
• Manage musculoskeletal pain.
• Perform pain management procedures.
• Perform Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies.
• Perform joint and soft tissue injections.
• Perform ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Perform spinal injections (epidural, facet joint).
• Manage rehabilitation planning and management.
• Provide non-surgical management of spine disorders.
• Treat sports injuries.
• Manage neurological disorders (stroke, spinal cord injury).
