Pain Management Physician
About The Position
The Department of Pain Management at Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician to provide direct clinical care. The physician will primarily evaluate and treat outpatients at a Comprehensive NeuroScience center of excellence, complementing a team of Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Interventional Neuroradiologists, and Physiatrists. The role provides longitudinal care and management of the neuropharmacologic and psychodynamic aspects of acute, subacute, and chronic pain syndromes. Some inpatient care may be provided when clinical circumstances warrant. The physician will not perform invasive pain management procedures and will have an opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of the Comprehensive NeuroScience Center.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible, with excellent clinical training in anesthesia, neurology, psychiatry, or addiction medicine.
- Completed fellowship training in a pain management-related specialty such as anesthesia, neurology, psychiatry, physiatry, or addiction medicine.
- Trained and comfortable diagnosing and providing care for neuropharmacologic and psychodynamic aspects of acute, subacute, and chronic pain syndromes.
- Adaptable colleague interested in joining the NeuroScience team, building the group practice, and becoming active in the community.
