About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Pads Transformer Assembler - 1st Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is 19.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Nacogdoches, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Must be able to adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined below: Gloves, Over the Elbow Sleeves, Safety Glasses, Ear plugs, Steel Toe, Metatarsal Guards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks across various work centers, including tank breakdown, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, palletizing, final assembly, and testing.
  • Attach and install component parts and sub-assemblies onto transformer tanks (e.g., leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands).
  • Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system.
  • Place and anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks.
  • Execute repetitive hand assembly, fitting, and adjustment operations.
  • Use small power hand tools as required.
  • Assist welders with the installation of hoods and seals.
  • Address any nonconforming parts or products through rework.
  • Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
  • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
