About The Position

Northern Monmouth Regional Surgery Center is hiring a full time PACU RN. At Northern Monmouth Regional Surgery Center, health and care are inseparable, focusing on offering a high quality, service oriented environment for surgical procedures. The facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy. The nurse may assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as appropriate. Total comprehensive patient care is provided to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state New Jersey
  • BLS and ACLS Required
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Nice To Haves

  • PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Responsibilities
