DISC Surgery Center is seeking a per diem Overnight PACU RN for our Carlsbad location. This position will have a varied schedule based on business needs, but most commonly on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays.
Requirements
- Valid RN license
- BCLS and ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Proficiency in airway management and post-anesthesia recovery
- 2 years’ experience in acute care, PACU, or ICU experience
Responsibilities
- Monitor post-operative patients' conditions and manage their pain levels
- Assess patients' vital signs and airways post-surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
