About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU RN to join a dynamic post-anesthesia care team. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in monitoring patients recovering from surgery and ensuring safe, smooth transitions post-procedure.
Requirements
- Active RN license (Louisiana or compact state)
- 1+ year of PACU, ICU, or ER experience
- BLS & ACLS required
- Strong critical thinking and monitoring skills
Nice To Haves
- PALS preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia
- Perform post-operative assessments and manage pain control
- Respond to airway, cardiac, and respiratory changes
- Administer medications and IV therapies
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations
