About The Position

This role is responsible for performing downstream activities required to successfully complete production. This involves initiating paperwork, verifying components against the Bill of Materials, setting up and verifying label dispensers, checking weighing and measuring devices for calibration, and setting up and verifying batch board and seal integrity stations. Some areas may require operating assembly equipment such as blending, grinding, and molding equipment. The position emphasizes speed, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced, around-the-clock manufacturing environment focused on producing life-sustaining products.

Requirements

  • Must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin.
  • Must not be colorblind.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Requires the use of and troubleshooting of the label dispensing equipment.
  • Good documentation and computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of standard operating procedures, specifications, and Job-specific training materials.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English in order to comply with necessary SOP’s, SPEC’s, Job-specific training materials, GMP’s, and other manuals.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Visual acuity 20/25 Near Vision with or without corrective vision required.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching up and out, wrist turning, pinching and manipulation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product exposure times and document process flow as required.
  • Periodically perform all Operator I/Operator II functions.
  • Pull required processing samples, document, package, and distribute.
  • Set-up/Tear down room and keep production area supplies up to date.
  • Perform all line clearances.
  • Replace labels on dispensers, take appropriate samples, verify, and troubleshoot label dispenser problems.
  • Collect, document, and disposition production scrap.
  • Troubleshoot problems in the finishing area and determine corrective actions or necessary contacts.
  • Perform facility cleaning as required based on the daily schedule.
  • Move production carts into +5oC and freezer areas within the required times specified by product specifications.
  • Maintain attendance in accordance with the RLD Attendance Policy.
  • Mandatory overtime is required.
  • Move pasteurization carts and operate the pasteurizer.
