About The Position

Display Group, Inc., a premier manufacturer of premiere Point of Purchase displays, is seeking a Packout Line Leader. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to packers and temporary workers, overseeing manufacturing activities within their departments, managing production assembly lines, assisting teams to complete orders, and preparing reports. The position requires maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in a continuous, fast-paced, quality-conscious manufacturing operation.

Requirements

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Requires education equivalent to a high school diploma and twelve months of related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Ability to accurately record data.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in manufacturing and/or supervising employees preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complete and thorough training of all packers on their line daily.
  • Ensure all Packers are in position and prepared for duty on their line.
  • Monitor the individual components used for pack-out and replenishing as needed to ensure a steady flow of production.
  • Verify that proper labels and any requirements for the job are being adhered to.
  • Inspect pack-out to ensure quality standards.
  • Motivate team members to meet and exceed production deadlines and time study rates.
  • Read and interpret production specs plus accurate completion of daily production reports.
  • Responsible for training line workers in assembling, packaging, and production.
  • Continuous inspection of production line and product.
  • Follow and train strict job manufacturing guidelines, and ensure process meets company and client standards in productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Monitor and report employee issues to Plant leadership.
  • Accurate completion of quality checklists and production paperwork.
  • Oversee production line and inspect for quality and adherence to policies.
  • Operating necessary production equipment.
  • Determine appropriate components to complete projects, and manage the replenishment.
  • Ensuring lines are clear of all components (properly bundled and packed) at end of each production run.
  • Maintain a neat and clean work area, report any unsafe conditions.
  • Read and interpret production specs plus accurate completion of daily production reports.
  • Review production reports for accuracy and print out and turn into Department Lead.
  • Ensure that all required production documentation is completed accurately at the end of each shift prior to leaving.
  • Constantly be updated and aware of all important matters that take place on your line during your shift.
  • Provide accurate and thorough communication at the end of each shift.
  • Gather information to accurately identify the root cause of problems in equipment or work processes.
  • Promote safety, quality and good housekeeping and environmental practices.
  • Assist in consumable, inventory, and 3PL labels.
