About The Position

Join Indotronix as a Packing & Shipping Operator 1 and become an essential part of our fast-paced shipping and logistics team at our Elkridge, MD facility. This onsite position offers hands-on involvement with military and commercial packaging standards, opportunities to grow your technical skills, and the chance to contribute to a dynamic team environment supporting critical operations. Hourly Payrate: $24.84/hr. on W2. Must be available to work various shift (1st or 2nd).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in packing, shipping, or logistics environments
  • Strong attention to detail; ability to follow complex instructions
  • Proficient with hand-held tools such as drills, wrenches, box-cutters, and hammers
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. unaided and team-lift up to 150 lbs.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and moving within a manufacturing environment
  • Willingness and ability to obtain necessary certifications (forklift, crane, power tools, DOT/IATA HAZMAT, safety)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-2073 or similar military packaging standards
  • Previous use of SharePoint, GOLD, SAP, EEMS, Ryder TMS, Exostar TMS, DCMA eTools in shipping operations
  • Prior experience with commercial packaging in regulated industries

Responsibilities

  • Package parts in compliance with detailed military and commercial guidelines
  • Accurately process deliveries and maintain shipping records using SAP, GOLD, and SharePoint
  • Set up and coordinate shipments via Transportation Management Systems (Ryder TMS, Exostar TMS, DCMA eTools, EEMS)
  • Construct custom packaging using hand and power tools; ensure precise marking and labeling per MIL-STD-2073, MIL-STD-129, and DOT/IATA specifications
  • Collaborate with the Troy Hill Shipping Team and cross-functional partners to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Perform lifting, material handling, and workstation organization while following safety protocols
