About The Position

The Packer Operator must accurately fill the appropriate bag with the corresponding product as a final production process for bagged product within the guidelines of Feed Quality Management System (FQMS). The packer operator must abide by the specified bag weight tolerance levels, identify poor quality product and stop it from reaching the customer, and work in a consistent manner to achieve production rates. The individual must follow established housekeeping guidelines and properly remove trash acquired during their shift. This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business who serves producers and animal owners throughout the United States. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 1 year or more of work experience in any industry
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Able to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Willingness to learn new skills, problem-solve and troubleshoot
  • Strong collaboration, communication skills, and is always respectful

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of manufacturing work experience
  • Machine operation and/or forklift experience

Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill the appropriate bag with the corresponding product as a final production process for bagged product within the guidelines of Feed Quality Management System (FQMS).
  • Abide by the specified bag weight tolerance levels.
  • Identify poor quality product and stop it from reaching the customer.
  • Work in a consistent manner to achieve production rates.
  • Follow established housekeeping guidelines and properly remove trash acquired during their shift.
  • Accurately complete all documents for in-house use and federal regulations.
  • Comply with all safety processes and insist on safety practices of self and others.
  • Show up on time, complete tasks by deadlines, and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Multi-task and keep up with production demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure all quality standards and standard operating procedures are followed during production process.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  • Collaborate and follow the instructions of Leads and Management to accomplish daily work assignments.

Benefits

  • Pay: $29.00 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour
