About The Position

As a Packing Line Lead, you will provide oversight and direction to a team of associates to achieve desired operating results in daily Packing jobs. This role involves ensuring team performance meets established standards for productivity, quality, appearance, and accuracy, while also completing required job documentation and ensuring compliance with GMPs, food safety, organic requirements, and safe work practices. You will train and coach associates, identify and implement process improvements, and partner with various departments to address issues and meet customer expectations. The lead will set an example through professionalism, clear communication, accountability, and integrity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in the produce industry preferred
  • Hi Lift Experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Knowledge of perishable products and food safety requirements
  • Strong computer skills, including production tracking systems
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, delegate, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) skills preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team packing or reworking product, assigning manpower effectively and ensuring finished product meets quality and labeling standards
  • Ensure team performance meets established standards for productivity, quality, appearance, and accuracy
  • Complete required job documentation, accurately recording product details, labor hours, performance, and supplies used; utilize RF Smart and Priya
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, organic requirements, and safe work practices
  • Train and coach associates on packing procedures, product quality, labeling requirements, and safety standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements using continuous improvement tools
  • Partner with buyers, QC, sales, sister companies, and Packing Managers to address issues and meet customer expectations
  • Lead by example through professionalism, clear communication, accountability, and integrity
