About The Position

This role involves packing and palletizing production from conveyor systems, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines. The position requires attention to detail for visual inspections and proper bottle specification checks. The employee will also be responsible for maintaining housekeeping, removing scrap, and reworking defective products as needed. This position is on an "at-will" basis.

Requirements

GED
Ability to read, write and communicate orally.
Good attention to detail.
Must be dependable, have a good attendance record and be able to understand bottle specifications to assure proper bottle inspection
Visual Inspections on product.
Willingness to work 12 hours on either day or night shifts, weekends, and overtime
Ability to lift 50Lbs.
Having good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors

Nice To Haves

High school diploma
Manufacturing experience but not required
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

Follow all the Safety and Quality Guidelines.
Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers
Notify the inspector if any defective parts are noticed
Pack at standard rate.
Pack or Palletize production from conveyors systems.
Practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.
Remove scrap from around the line.
Rework and repack any defective product when necessary and document appropriate paperwork.
Initial and date box labels.
Make out unit tickets.
Do any other work as assigned by the Supervisor.
