About The Position

The Packer position is a full-time, non-exempt hourly role responsible for various tasks related to packaging products and materials. This role ensures that products are correctly measured, weighed, counted, and documented. The Packer will also be responsible for assembling and preparing containers, ensuring the integrity of parts after processing, and maintaining a clean work area. The position offers on-the-job training and opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities

• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Seal containers or materials, using the stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks.
• Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.).
• Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
