About The Position

Assure efficient manufacturing of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations. This role primarily involves operating perforation and side cutting equipment, assisting operators, and serving as a backup operator for general production. The position requires adherence to quality control procedures, material handling, and recordkeeping.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to adhere to Amcor’s Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.
Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.
Ability to handle & resolve problems.
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, for extended periods multiple times per day.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Must be punctual; at line on time.
Must be able to obtain LOTO certification.
Ability to read a ruler to 1/8”/tape measure and gauge caliper device.
Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

Extrusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operates perforation equipment, including the robot cell controls.
Inspects finished product quality before performing operations.
Monitors robot/perforator operations and completes operations to specifications.
Assembles and stacks rolls per customer/in-house requirements.
Obtains packaging material to complete orders and prepare for shipment.
Completes quality control procedures including roll unwind, perforation inspection, diameter inspection, perforation centering, and perforation alignment.
Operates PIT to transport materials.
Completes all recordkeeping requirements including printing, labeling, and stretch-wrapping.
Sets up a line independently.
Uses JD Edwards scanning equipment to log production and record inventory transactions.
Performs housekeeping duties to maintain work area based on hygiene requirements.
Ensures all BRC Food Safety Standards are followed.
Operates Side Cutter and sets it up to product specifications.
Ensures accuracy and maintains quality according to work order specifications.
Provides assistance to operator(s) when running particular products.
Fill-in/Relief Operator (fully trained) for extruder and/or pelletizer.
Performs general duties such as plant housekeeping, clean-up, or other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Completes all work in a safe manner.
Follows all safety rules.
Complies with operating procedures and quality standards.
Performs other duties assigned by supervisor/manager.
