The Packer is responsible for inspecting equipment at the beginning of each shift, ensuring all safety devices and emergency switches are operational. This role requires reading work orders, executing written/verbal instructions, and recording production data. The Packer will perform 100% inspection of work pieces for cosmetic appearance and non-conformities, assemble parts, and wrap work pieces in appropriate packing materials. The position involves using various tools such as a tape measure, height gauge, caliper, or square to verify against specifications. Additionally, the Packer is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of their work area and the general housekeeping of the department, ensuring the quality of parts before forwarding them to the next operation, and actively participating in all established company health and safety training programs, complying with all policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.
