About The Position

The Packer maintains material and product flow on the production floor and between production and the warehouse. The role stocks machines with boxes, tape, and bags during the shift and before shift changes; supports break and lunch coverage; and handles skids at the skid wrapper, moving finished skids to warehouse staging. The Packer also conducts and documents quality inspections, assists with packing and sorting, and performs other job-related duties as directed by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Stock production machines with boxes, tape, and bags during the shift and before shift changes.
• Assist with break and lunch relief.
• Maintain product flow at the skid wrapper by placing skids on it, removing skids, and moving them to finished-goods staging in the warehouse.
• Conduct two random quality inspections on each line per shift and document them on the IBM report.
• Assist with packing as needed.
• Assist with on-line sorting and rework product affected by machine or product concerns.
• Sort product placed on hold.
• Follow other job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor.
