About The Position
Fischer Van Lines is a Denver-based moving company hiring experienced Packers to join our crew. You'll play a hands-on role in ensuring our customers' belongings arrive at their destination safe, organized, and intact. Whether it's a family moving across town or a corporation relocating an office, your care and attention to detail make all the difference.
Requirements
- Prior packing, moving, or logistics experience preferred — especially with fragile or high-value items
- Attention to detail: You take pride in doing it right, not just fast
- Physical stamina: This is active, hands-on work — you'll be on your feet, lifting, bending, and carrying throughout your shift
- Reliability: Show up on time, ready to work — our customers are counting on us
- Team player: You work well with others and communicate clearly on the job
- Valid ID required
Responsibilities
- Pack household and corporate items including artwork, sculptures, glassware, kitchenware, books, clothing, and everyday personal effects
- Select appropriate packing materials (boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, foam) for each item type
- Label and organize boxes clearly by room and contents
- Handle fragile and high-value items with extra care and proper technique
- Load and unload trucks as needed alongside the moving crew
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment at each job site
- Communicate with crew leads and customers in a professional, respectful manner
