About The Position

This role involves following safety and quality guidelines, adhering to Silgan safety policies, and understanding bottle specifications for proper inspection. The position requires packing or palletizing production from conveyor systems, maintaining housekeeping, removing scrap, and reworking defective products as needed. Responsibilities also include documenting paperwork, initialing and dating box labels, making unit tickets, and performing other assigned duties by the supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and communicate orally.
Good attention to detail.
Must be dependable, have a good attendance record and be able to understand bottle specifications to assure proper bottle inspection.
Visual Inspections on product.
Willingness to work 12 hours on either day or night shifts, weekends, and overtime.
Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
Having good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience but not required.
Ability to read, write and communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

Follow all the Safety and Quality Guidelines.
Understand and adhere to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers.
Notify the inspector if any defective parts are noticed.
Pack at standard rate.
Pack or Palletize production from conveyors systems.
Practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary.
Remove scrap from around the line.
Rework and repack any defective product when necessary and document appropriate paperwork.
Initial and date box labels.
Make out unit tickets.
Do any other work as assigned by the Supervisor.
