About The Position

The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring finished tea products are properly packaged according to customer specifications while maintaining the highest quality, safety, and hygiene standards. This is a full-time permanent role in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The position requires standing and walking for 8-12 hours per shift. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 25 pounds and perform repetitive packaging and inspection activities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Package finished tea products at the end of the production line from various manufacturing machines.
• Inspect tea bags, cartons, envelopes, and overwrap materials for quality defects.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
• Identify and report operational quality issues, including incorrect gluing, machine damage, and carton alignment concerns.
• Verify all coding and labeling is accurate, legible, and compliant with requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment throughout each shift.
• Follow all company food safety, hygiene, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Lead or Line Manager.
