This position is responsible for operating the multi-vac and packaging machines. Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
  • Ability and willingness to constantly use mental/muscular coordination, simultaneously.
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and pack product.
  • Supply lines with boxes, tux cartons, and pallets.
  • Remove product from racks.
  • Setup, run, and tear down equipment, films, and labels.
  • Move up to 1,000-pound racks manually.
  • Clean machines at the end of shift and perform washdowns.
  • Use SAP and computer for transactions and print labels.
  • Issue materials as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Ability and willingness to scan or input into the computer system all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs.
  • Ability and willingness to follow formulations on the computer and accurately record and report food safety or product information.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
