About The Position

This position is responsible for the final packaging of CEMA room product, including inspecting labels, wrapping skids for storage or shipment, and entering data into the shop floor data collection system. The role may involve other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employees are required to frequently lift and carry 35 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
  • Employees will occasionally use a pallet jack to push or pull objects up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret job instructions/BOM and/or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials and supplies needed for production and proper packaging of finished product for shipment to customer.
  • Fabricate cartons for Clean Room product.
  • Package product into required cartons or containers; load product onto skids; label, band and shrink wrap finished Clean Room product.
  • Fill out all required information boards, paperwork, and forms; attach identifying tags or labels to materials, cartons, or other containers.
  • Assist machine operators with scrap removal.
  • Move recycled cardboard, cores, wood etc. to the proper locations for recycling at the end of the shift.
  • Maintain department housekeeping and 5S program requirements.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices rules in alignment with QMS / EMS requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts regarding machine, quality and priority concerns. Effectively utilize shift overlaps to convey critical information.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Perform all work procedures according to established Quality Management & Environmental Management Systems.
  • Perform job responsibilities and tasks in compliance to Company policies, procedures and safety and environmental regulations.
