Warehouse Packer
About The Position
Packs boxes and prepares product for shipment. This role involves removing finished products from the machine, placing product labels, packing items in bags and cartons, and placing finished product in the proper location as per specifications. The Packer also performs advanced quality checks and communicates effectively with the operator and supervisor to ensure finished products meet required quality specifications. Additionally, the role aids in the proper and effective operation of the machinery and is willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including covering lunches and breaks as required. All work is performed with a safety-first mentality and with the utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills. Related tasks may be requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Intermediate math skills.
- English written communication skills necessary.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
- Ability to work in space-limited work area on a continuous basis.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
