About The Position

The Assembler/Packer is responsible for inspecting equipment at the beginning of each shift, ensuring all safety devices and emergency switches are operational. This role requires reading work orders, executing written/verbal instructions, and recording production data. The position involves 100% inspection of work pieces for cosmetic appearance and non-conformities, assembling parts, and wrapping work pieces in appropriate packing materials. The Packer will use various tools to verify specifications and is responsible for maintaining a clean work area and general housekeeping. Ensuring the quality of parts before forwarding them to the next operation and actively participating in health and safety training programs are also key aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• General computer knowledge.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment at the beginning of each shift and audit safety devices and emergency switches.
• Read work orders, execute written/verbal instructions, and record production data.
• Inspect work pieces for cosmetic appearance and obvious non-conformities.
• Assemble parts or wrap work pieces in appropriate packing materials.
• Use various tools such as a tape measure, height gauge, caliper, or square to verify against specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and general housekeeping of the department.
• Ensure quality of parts before forwarding to the next operation.
• Actively participate in all established company health and safety training programs, and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
