About The Position

This position is responsible for promoting a safe working environment and adhering to all safety policies and procedures. The Packer will monitor products for quality defects, pack at a standard rate, operate a punch, load conveyors and flamers, and maintain housekeeping on assigned lines. Additional duties include removing scrap, grinding and pulling plastic, making and unitizing cartons, labeling boxes, making out unit tickets, and performing other assigned tasks by the Supervisor.

Ability to remove scrap
Ability to grind and pull plastic

Ability to initial and date box labels
Ability to make out unit tickets
Ability to perform other assigned work

Responsibilities

Monitor ware for quality defects and promptly inform the operator and/ or the coordinator
Pack at standard rate
Operate a punch
Load conveyors and flamers
Practice housekeeping on assigned line(s) and around machine including mopping if necessary
Remove scrap from around the line
Grind and pull plastic as needed
Make and unitize cartons as assigned
Initial and date box labels
Make out unit tickets
Do any other work as assigned by the Supervisor
