About The Position

The Packer position is responsible for unloading machine tables while inspecting for quality and packaging the product in accordance with established work instructions. This role is suitable for individuals with food service or retail experience, or those looking for a career change. Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic math skills including counting, adding, and subtracting
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble parts
Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 35 pounds
Ability to pull up to 35 pounds
Ability to squat, kneel, bend and stoop

Nice To Haves

Production experience is not required
Food service or retail workers, or others looking to make a change

Responsibilities

Performing production processes in accordance with established work instructions, while meeting required quality standards and efficiencies
Loading/unloading material from machine tables
Performing first piece inspections and logging scrap
Inspecting parts for quality issues such as fill, fusion, post expansion, etc.
Identifying proper packaging containers and ensure packaged containers are properly labeled
Maintaining accurate counts per container
Packing products on flats and in boxes
Performing and documenting quality checks
Maintaining and improving 5S activities, keeping work areas clean, orderly, and safe for all team members
Communicating with leadership at the beginning and end of each shift
Working in a safe manner
Performing other duties as assigned
