Responsibilities

  • Responsible for working in a manner that respects the health and safety of the individual and their environment in accordance with the Safety policies and procedures and/or OSHA regulations.
  • Accurately read and comprehend all quality specifications and attributes, etc., needed to ensure the manufacture of quality product.
  • Remove, inspect, count, bag and box finished product from production machinery.
  • Verbally communicate to Operator, QC Tech, Shift Lead or the Shift Supervisor, any quality defect that is visually non-conforming to the specification.
  • Adhere to EasyPak Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and maintain a clean work area.
  • Support the EasyPak Continuous Improvement initiative by contributing to projects and efforts in manufacturing to enhance department metrics and improve work flow.
  • Recommend methods to enhance safety awareness/environment, product quality, equipment performance and productivity.
  • Participate in TQM (Total Quality Management).
  • Assist in the training and development of new Packer.
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and organized in accordance with AIB standards.
  • Perform secondary operations as required (i.e. labeling, re-inspection, hand-cleaning, etc).
  • Ensures adequate supply of materials is present and prepared for the packaging of finished product to include but not limited to: Bags, Boxes, Z-boards, Gaylords…etc.
  • Identify all boxes with the appropriate information (Labels, Packer #’s and Date Stamps).
  • Remove web scrap from machine following the set safety guidelines and load into tote for transport to the grinding room.
