About The Position

This role is in a meat plant and involves unloading and dumping grinding raw materials and products into grinders and blenders. The position also requires labeling and date stamping all finished cases of patties according to specifications. Flexibility is needed to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the department's demands. The job also includes palletizing labeled cases, counting finished cases, separating and tracking rework product, cleaning work areas, and assisting in other areas of the ground beef production line such as equipment setup and breakdown, box making, casing, labeling, stacking, weighing, and recordkeeping. Regular and reliable attendance is essential, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations (including all safety training and safety information) associated with this position which are written in English.
Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
1 to 3 months related experience, preferred.
Ability to operate an electric pallet jack or forklift, preferred.

Responsibilities

Unloads and dumps grinding raw materials and products from pallets, skids or trucks in grinders and blenders.
Labels and date stamps all finished cases of patties according to specifications.
Palletizes all labeled cases according to specifications.
Counts all finished cases and records them on appropriate logs.
Separates rework from paper and places them in bins for rework.
Tracks all weights of rework product and records on appropriate forms.
Cleans around work areas.
Assists in all other areas of ground beef production line, including equipment setup and breakdown, box making, casing, labeling, stacking, weighing, recordkeeping, etc.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
