About The Position

SMS Staffing is hiring immediately for skilled Packers/Stackers in North Chicago, IL. This is a temp-to-hire position with a pay rate of $15.00/hour. Available shifts are 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Monday - Thursday) and 2nd Shift: 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM (Monday - Thursday). The role involves packing containers in boxes, stacking skids according to specifications, labeling containers, loading cans on lines, and meeting or exceeding production rates. Additional duties include keeping work areas clean, following safety policies, and executing assigned activities. Responsibilities involving food safety may be required. The job requires work in a hazardous environment and involves a safety-sensitive function. The company emphasizes the importance of committed people who go the extra mile to get the job done right.
