About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is seeking dedicated, hands-on Packers/Quality Assurance Techs to join their team at their High Street facility in Hanover, PA. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent weekend day shift schedule (Friday through Sunday, 5:55 AM to 5:55 PM), along with competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to work in a team-oriented environment where your contribution matters. Requirements

Requires basic math and reading skills.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to multitask under stressful conditions.
Ability to effectively communicate with the Quality Department both written and verbal.
Must be willing and able to stand 100% of the time
Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
Moderate lifting (40lbs).

Responsibilities

Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.
Inspects package weight.
Verifies code, dates, and price.
Examines package for proper seal.
Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors.
Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Assists as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed.
Learn routine quality assurance testing; product sample collection; physical property testing; sensory evaluation; and various lab techniques to support and assist as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
Works in a safe manner at all times and communicates any safety issues to supervisor.
